The Laundry room.
Our clients needed a practical space that worked as both laundry and pantry. The current cabinetry was impractical along with dated vinyl, a dated ceiling fan, and lack of storage; all threatened this space from being used to it’s full potential.
The plan was to change out the lighting, install beautiful blue mosaic flooring, new cabinets, install a tankless water heater, and custom made open shelving.
The most significant part of this entire remodel was the surprising effect of what proper storage can do. We installed a set of cabinets alongside the newly installed water heater and ceiling height cabinets above the washer/dryer.
For the design, we started with our client’s favorite flooring. Since it is a busy blue pattern, I paired it down with black cabinets that went up to the ceiling, creating an illusion of taller ceilings. We also added some walnut elements to bring in some warmth against all of the cool colors. The pops of brass in hardware and artwork complete the whole look.
Practical and pretty storage solutions like oversized baskets for oversized items and amber jars to hold pantry staples complete the look.
The final reveal was stunning and practical! A pretty space to do laundry and store pantry items!
Thank you so much for following along!
