FEBRUARY REFRESH – ENTRY WAY PROJECT

The #FreshSpaceFebruary has begun, and I am so excited to be teaming up with a talented group of ladies to refresh one specific room in our homes.

Hi there! If this is your first time visiting our blog, then welcome! My name is Inna, and my husband and I recently opened our design and contracting company called Kovalinskiy Design. It all started some years back when we designed and built our first home and then went on to renovate an old colonial from top to bottom. Be sure to check out the completed projects tab to see some of our most dramatic before and afters!

I will be tackling the entry room. Let’s begin with how we started, shall we?

The entry was in pretty rough shape before we began our 6-month renovation. Since then, the old carpet has been ripped up, the doorways have been made flush, we took down a partial wall to the right of the stairs, and we added some moldings and paint. With all that said, there is NO character in the space.

So what have I planned for this space now?

Let’s start with the color scheme. The room right off the entry is the dining room, which has been painted in a dusty blue. To complement and tie that room together with the entrance, I decided to go with a soft blue toile wallpaper, brass Moravian star light, black entry table, a gold-framed painting, and stair rods. The feeling you will get will be very classic yet fun!

I am SO excited to start decorating this space and have an elegant sight to land in as soon as I enter this home.
